I’m Makena and I’m an Intuitive Reader and Medium. I channel messages, guidance, and support from Spirit to help your soul and human growth. My goal is to help you find a strong spiritual connection and teach you how to integrate that into your human experience.

My Story

When I was 18 I experienced the death of a close loved one and my entire worldview shifted. Sometimes I think about that previous version of myself and I have a hard time recognizing her. For years I lived with crippling anxiety, unhappy relationships, a deep disconnect to my body, and above all a complete unknowing of who I was at my core. I recorded a very emotional story about my experience with grief and how it shaped my work, you can listen to that here. 

During this period of my life, I suddenly felt the urge to get a psychic reading, something I had never been exposed to before besides binge-watching The Long Island Medium any time I got the chance. I can’t explain (other than this was a Spirit nudge) why I had the urge to get a reading, but it turns out it would be the start of a complete life transformation for me. This one hour reading felt like it opened my eyes to the world for the first time. I continued to have about as many readings as you could possibly get and they all told me that I would be doing this work someday. These messages didn’t surprise me, even though I had not grown up with an awareness of religion or spirituality I knew that this was the next step for me. It felt as natural as someone telling me that I had brown hair. From that moment on I dug into my journey of reawakening. After developing these abilities for over a year with multiple highly regarded mentors I have grown so much as an Intuitive Reader and Medium but also just as a human being. I believe that our spirituality and humanity are intimately connected and by honoring our growth here in this life we are honoring our soul growth as well.  I am incredibly honored to be a vessel for Spirit to communicate loving messages and guidance to us. Through this guidance, we are able to take the messages we receive and integrate them into our lives. My mission is to deliver these healing messages from Spirit while also giving practical guidance on how to integrate these messages with our daily lives. 

I am passionate about redefining spirituality in a way that is helpful and expansive for your life. I believe that by holding each other and ourselves accountable, staying curious, and having a commitment to a growth mindset we can create deeper relationships with ourselves and Spirit.
